Among the official guests was the President of the European Taekwondo Federation – Grand Master Michael Pruitt, as well as the heads of the federations from Greece, Ukraine, Italy, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. There were also official representatives from the federations of North Macedonia, Ireland, Belgium, Moldova and Estonia. The event is organized with the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv, the Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation ITF and the Army Sports Taekwondo Club “Trakia”.
The President of the Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation ITF Mario Bogdanov noted that the tournament once again confirmed the leading place of our country in the EITF sports calendar and expressed gratitude to the organizational team that worked for months on the preparation.
The Mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov confirmed that Bulgaria Open 2025 is a key event in the sports calendar of the Municipality and an important factor in promoting the city as an international destination for sports tourism and a great opportunity for all guests to get acquainted with the history of the oldest living city in Europe.
