Over 200 competitors took part in it was a "general rehearsal" for our best archers for the European Indoor Archery Championship, which will be held in the Kolodrum from February 16 to 21, 2026. The competitions will be held in three main divisions - recurve, compound and bare bow in the age groups of men and women, as well as youth and girls up to 21 years of age. The participants will compete in both individual and team disciplines, and for the first time in history, mixed teams will also be included in the hall - a novelty that promises additional emotions and spectacular duels.The program offers shooting of the highest level throughout the week. It starts with an official training session on February 16. On February 17, viewers will be able to follow the qualifications, and on February 18 and 19, the individual and team eliminations will take place. Friday, February 20, is set for the team finals, while the culmination will be on Saturday, February 21, when the individual finals will take place and the new European champions will be announced. In addition to the elite of European Archery, among the star names in the tournament is the Bulgarian hope and current European indoor champion Ivan Banchev, who will defend his title in the men's recurve discipline, won at the championship in Samsun, Turkey in 2025. His participation is an additional reason for the Bulgarian audience to fill the stands and support our national athletes. Entrance for spectators is free, and the program is all-day from 9 am to 7 pm on all competition days, making the European Indoor Archery Championships in Plovdiv an excellent opportunity for all sports fans to experience up close the mastery, concentration and drama of one of the most ancient and beautiful sports.
