Hundreds of snooker fans enjoyed a spectacular derby between the two best in the sport – World No. 1 Judd Trump and the giant Jack Lisovski, in which Trump prevailed with a 5:2 frame.
The strong presence of Plovdiv residents contributed to the high spirits during the match. The two stars played a frame with Plovdiv players. Trump was with Ivaylo Pekov, and Lisovski with Ivan Kupov, with the pair Trump and Kupov prevailing with a frame of 77 points. The referees of the match were Plovdiv residents Vasilena Uzunova and Proletina Velichkova.
During the break, lucky winners from the audience were drawn who left a donation for the charitable cause of the “P.U.L.S.” Foundation. They received T-shirts autographed by Judd Trump, Jack Lisovski and Desislava Bozhilova.
The event was also attended by the chairman of the Bulgarian Snooker Federation Oleg Velinov and the deputy mayor for sports Nikolay Buhalov, who awarded Trump with a special cup on the occasion of his triumph in Plovdiv.
The exhibition match in Plovdiv was the first of the WINBET Snooker Special “trilogy”. The second match between the two is tomorrow (24th) in Burgas, and on Sunday (25th) is the final clash in Sofia.
