The Colodrum Hall, Plovdiv, was chosen as the host of the "Fencing World Cup 2025". The event that will bring together the titans of fencing starts on January 23rd, at 1:00 p.m., and the remaining 3 days' meetings will start after 8:00 a.m.
More than 400 athletes ranked in the top 16 of the world rankings will take part in the World Cup for men and women. Olympic and world champions, as well as medalists from Paris from the last world championships, have also applied for participation.
The interest in the Fencing World Championships is huge and justified, as it is the beginning of the new Olympic cycle and the initial accumulation of points in the ranking is important for further qualification.
Three days after the final of the World Championship, the traditional tournament "Asparuhov sword - saber" - youth starts. More than 150 participants from more than 22 countries will take part in it. The two-day competition starts on January 31st and is important for the Bulgarian national competitors to check the clocks you are at the level of world fencing.
Plovdiv and the Colodrum Hall have repeatedly proven the high professional level of organization and holding of events of world importance. Besides the good image for the city, the presence of over 600 guests will also have a serious economic and cultural effect.
