After the successful first round of the State Team Cycling Championship, the 2025 "Cyclist of the Year" Award Ceremony was held in the Kolodrum Hall.
The event brought together competitors, coaches, clubs and cycling friends from all over the country to honor the best Bulgarian cyclists for the past season. The winners in the track, road, cross country, downhill, enduro and pump track disciplines were awarded, in all age categories.
In the men's elite track discipline, first place in the ranking was taken by Nikolay Dyankov, Georgi Lumparov took second place, and Yordan Petrov - third.
In the men's elite road discipline, the winner was Yordan Petrov, followed by Borislav Palashev and Borislav Hadzhistoyanov. In the women's elite, Ivana Tonkova ranked first, Nikol Kolisheva second, and Victoria Danova third.
In the mountain biking disciplines, among the distinguished competitors were Viktor Enev in the cross country Olympic, Stivian Gatev in the downhill and Yordan Donev in the enduro. In the women's category, strong results during the season were recorded by competitors such as Teodora Tabakova, Elena Dobranitsa and Veneta Zaharieva.
During the ceremony, special plaques were also awarded to competitors who set new national records on the track during the season - another proof of the development and high level of Bulgarian cycling.
The Plovdiv Cycling Club "Tsar Simeon" made a strong start in the State Team Championship. Gold medals were won by Yoan Stankov in the disciplines Scratch and Endurance by points for men, Antoan Bogdanov - Scratch in the junior senior age group and Yordan Petrov - Endurance by points for juniors.
The Bulgarian Cycling Federation, which is also the organizer of the event, congratulated all the competitors, coaches and clubs who, with their hard work, talent and dedication, develop and glorify Bulgarian cycling.
