About 350 children from 35 clubs participated in the prestigious competition. In addition to representatives of the Bulgarian clubs, the tournament also included competitors from Turkey, Greece, Moldova, North Macedonia and Kosovo, which once again confirmed the international nature of the event.
The official guest of the tournament was the mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov, who welcomed the participants, their coaches and parents and wished success to the young competitors.
On the mats in the "Kolodruma" hall, the young wrestlers demonstrated excellent preparation, strong competitive spirit and impressive skills. The fights offered many emotions for both the participants and the numerous spectators who filled the stands of the sports facility.
The competition was intended for freestyle competitors born between 2011 and 2017. They competed in a total of 21 categories, with the best performing competitors in each of them being awarded.
The organizers provided cups and medals for those who ranked first to fifth, and the awards were a well-deserved reward for hard work, perseverance and sportsmanship.
The "Trakiets 2026" tournament continues to establish itself as one of the most significant events in the calendar of children's and youth wrestling in Bulgaria, providing an opportunity for young talents to gain valuable international experience and take another step towards the big sport.
The "Kolodruma" Hall once again proved that it offers excellent conditions for holding large-scale national and international sports events, welcoming hundreds of competitors, coaches and guests from Bulgaria and abroad.
