In March 2026, one of the most exciting original productions for children and youth in Bulgaria will come to life in the Kolodrum Hall in Plovdiv. “The Book of Dreams” – a musical for the new generation, will be presented in a new stage version, specially adapted for the Plovdiv stage, with updated scenography, choreography and visual effects. Created with the idea of touching viewers of all ages, the performance will offer a large-scale, emotional and captivating experience for children, youth and their families.
On March 20, 2026, the audience in Plovdiv will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the magic of “The Book of Dreams” – the performance that combines theater, music, dance and circus arts into one complete stage experience. The performance will be free to enter, and the space of the Kolodrum Hall will allow for a stronger visual impact and dynamics, where every scene, movement and musical tone will transport the audience to the center of the family spectacle, filled with emotional depth and universal messages - about the courage to follow your dreams, the power of friendship and those key meetings that change our lives.
"The Book of Dreams" tells the story of young Pat - an orphan who dreams of becoming a great circus artist. The action takes place in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century, and the hero's path is filled with trials, colorful characters, true friendship and great love. The original music, impressive choreography and strong visual solution turn the performance into a true stage spectacle that speaks the language of the new generation.
The musical will be professionally filmed, and an adapted video version with sign language will subsequently be created, which will be available online for organizations working with hearing-impaired children, in order for the content to be used in an environment suitable for them.
Admission to the performance on March 20, 2026 at the Kolodrum Hall, Plovdiv, is free with pre-registration for a ticket at ticketstation.bg.
The project is being implemented in partnership with Stray Sheep EOOD (sign language), Dance Management EOOD (creative team and artists) and Marmot Publishing House (children's illustrated edition).
The project "The Book of Dreams - a New Generation Musical" is also part of the cultural events calendar of the Municipality of Plovdiv under procedure BG-RRP-11.021 "A New Generation of Local Cultural Policies for Large Municipalities" - "Together Again", funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
