VK "Maritsa" defeated the Croatian "Mladost" (Zagreb) with 3:0 (25:15; 25:16; 25:19) in front of nearly 3000 spectators and a great atmosphere in the Kolodruma hall.
With this convincing victory, Marijanka successfully passed the group stage of the Champions League, securing a place in the quarter-finals of the CEV Cup tournament.
Maritsa received support from Hristo Stoichkov, who wished success to the team with a video message before the match. The fight was attended by the mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov, the chairman of the Municipal Council Atanas Uzunov, the deputy mayor for finance Zhenya Petkova and others.
Iva Dudova and Victoria Koeva scored the most in the match with 9 points, for the "Mladost" team it was Mirta Freund with 8 points.
Lora Slavcheva was chosen as the best player in the match.
