Two victories for the Bulgarian "Lionesses" in the last two matches played

The Bulgarian women's national team has qualified for the second round of the EuroBasket 2027 Women's Qualifiers. At the Kolodruma Hall in Plovdiv, Tanya Gateva's team defeated Ukraine 81:66 in a Group E match of the qualifiers for the next European women's championship.

This was the second victory of the "Lionesses" over this opponent in the group and the fifth in total, which guaranteed them first place in the standings. This is also the longest winning streak of the national team in at least a decade.

Borislava Hristova scored 24 points for Bulgaria plus 5 rebounds. Kayla Hilsman had a double-double - 21 and 11 rebounds. Karina Konstantinova scored 15 points. Gergana Ivanova scored 10.
