The Venue

Multifunctional Sports Hall "Kolodrum Plovdiv" is known to the local people simply as the "Kolodruma" (En - "The Velodrome"). It was built on the place where the old open velodrome of Plovdiv used to be. As of now, our venue is the only indoor velodrome at the Balkans.
The bicycle track is built by Olympic standards with the form of asymmetrical ellipse. The whole construction of the track is made of wood. The very surface of the track is made of north larch and is licensed by the Union Cycliste Internationale. The architect of the track is Sander Douma (The Netherlands), licensed for design and modification of cycle tracks. 
The mission of the Venue is clear - to boost the economic, culture and social development of the city and the region, by creating sufficient professional conditions for organizing sports and entertainment events.
